Scientists from Kharkov and Poltava propose to grow new teeth to avoid the procedure of prosthetics. This technology promises to make a revolution in stomatology. The first Transplantation Center was established in Ukraine (Poltava). Here patients can successfully treat osteomyelitis, fractures, skin, eye, ENT diseases with the help of cellular and tissular transplantation.

Doctor of Medicine, professor, and head of subdepartment of the Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy (Poltava), Victor Mitchenok informed that the technology was tested on the rat models. Firstly the tooth was removed from the animal's jaw. Meanwhile the pregnancy was interrupted in a doe and embryonic jaw was extracted from the unborn rat. Using a special manipulation, scientists inserted this embryo to the toothless rat and a new tooth grew instead of removed one in a month.
